How To Roll A Joint
- The first, and without question, the most important part of the joint is the mix. You have to make sure that that you get a fluffy (not lumpy!) consistency with the mix as fluffy weed is known to burn better. You can use a grinder to shred your weed and give it that nice consistency. Note: There are those who prefer to add a little tobacco to mix with their dope as this ensures a good burn. If you are one of them, you should add a slightly less than equal amount of tobacco to the weed, making sure that you also even out the tobacco’s consistency. The mixture is called a spliff.
- Joints are most commonly cone-shaped and there’s a good reason for that – they tend to smoke more smoothly. So while it is true that cone-shaped joints are a bit more difficult to roll, you’re still better off going that route. Distributing the mix evenly over the paper will help you achieve a good cone-shaped joint.
- To get a perfect fit, put the roach in before rolling the joint. It is also easier to do it this way rather than waiting until the joint is already rolled to put in the roach. You need to ensure that the mixture is lying tightly against your roach – there should be no space between the mixture and the roach.
- Now we’ve come to the delicate part of rolling the joint. You will need to pick the whole thing up, and start rolling from the middle moving outwards. Use your thumbs to roll the joint and your forefingers to support the joint.
- When you feel that the mixture is firm and has an even consistency all throughout, tuck the edge of the paper facing you down with the tips of your thumbs. Wet the sticky side of the rolling paper by licking it and seal the joint.
- Voila! You now have a joint ready and waiting to be smoked.
